The Department of Emergency Medicine is located at the north end of the first floor of the outpatient building, covering an area of 6300m2, with comfortable environment and reasonable layout, equipped with advanced emergency and urgent care medical equipment, and processing a perfect emergency medical service system, and the treatment concept is in line with the needs of the new era of emergency and first aid development, with five functional areas : pre-hospital medical emergency, pre-screening and triage, in-hospital emergency, emergency observation/hospitalization, and EICU. Use information systems to link emergency resources on a grid basis and establish a model of integrated pre-hospital and in-hospital treatment, whereby "calling for help means emergency treatment and boarding a bus means admission to hospital." Through the establishment of MDT (multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment model) and resource sharing platform, a large emergency platform has been established based on the Department of Emergency Medicine, combining with relevant professional departments such as Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Critical Maternity Rescue Center, Critical Child and Neonatal Rescue Center, Poison Center, etc., Breaking down the barriers between departments, fully realizing the patient-centeredness, and highly integrating the resources required for the emergency treatment of patients with acute and critical conditions, constructing a multidisciplinary collaboration, and actively moving forward the diagnosis and treatment model of each medical link, realizing the seamless connection of prehospital-rescue and follow-up treatment, and transitioning from the "aisle" mode of emergency care to the "one-stop" comprehensive treatment system. The "one-stop" comprehensive treatment system adheres to the emergency treatment concept of "time is life", thus improving the survival rate and quality of life of patients. In 2015, we completed the transformation from dependent to independent mode (pre-hospital medical emergency - hospital emergency - EICU), and formed a young and highly educated emergency medical team.At present, our department is the training base for emergency medicine residents and emergency nurses, the key discipline of Sichuan North Medical College and the master's degree unit of emergency medicine, the vice-chairman unit of Sichuan Union of Emergency Quality Control of Chinese Physicians Association, the unit of Sichuan Trauma & Poisoning Union, the unit of Emergency Medicine Union of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, which plays an important role in maintaining the status of Northeast Sichuan Regional Medical Center and serving the health of people in Northeast Sichuan. In the past five years, it has obtained more than 20 projects funded by the ministry, department (bureau) level and university level, with a cumulative total of 780,000 yuan in scientific research funds, published 75 scientific research papers, and successfully organized five provincial and four national continuing medical education and emergency academic seminars. At the same time, he has edited one textbook of Emergency Medicine, participated in the editing one textbook each of Introduction to Clinical Medicine, General Introduction to Clinical Oncology, Introduction to Medical Graduate Education, Medical Experimental Zoology, laboratory Tutorial of Anesthesiology , and Emergency Diagnosis and Rehabilitation. Participated in the compilation of Atlas of Emergency Surgery and the Expert Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Sepsis/Septic Shock in China (2018). At present, the department of Emergency Medicine has 22 inpatient beds, 20 observation beds, 9 EICU beds and 10 resuscitation beds.
Medical team: There are 29 emergency physicians, including 8 with senior title, 3 with doctor's degree, 15 with master's degree and 6 with master's degree supervisor. There are 72 nurses in total, including 1 chief nurse, 17 supervisor nurses, 51 nurse practitioners, 3 nurses and 5 master students. In national, provincial and municipal societies or associations, they have served as members, vice-chairmen/vice-presidents/standing committees/members, chairmen/vice-chairmen/standing committees/members for a total of 49 times. There is one academic leader and reserve candidate of Sichuan Provincial Health Commission, and one young and middle-aged backbone talent of Sichuan Provincial "Health Talent Program".

development framework: According to the "14th Five-Year Plan" career development plan of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, guided by the "new three-ring theory" with acute critical illness and resuscitation as the snake staff and acute poisoning and trauma as the two wings, the distinctive development ideas of emergency medical care and scientific research focus of North Sichuan Medical College are constructed. Relying on the advantages of provincial regional medical centers, the medical union network is used to improve the health emergency and intelligent first aid system of our hospital, build a "peacetime" integrated first aid platform that is orderly in "flat" time, strong in "urgent" time, and the same in "war". With the implementation of three-dimensional rescue combined with open space as the focus and information construction as the starting point, a fast and efficient first aid network system is built.To build an integrated treatment platform for critically ill patients, especially those with severe trauma, in order to meet the rapid treatment needs of critically ill patients in peacetime and public health emergencies (including wars), shorten the treatment time, save the lives of critically ill patients to the maximum extent, and further improve regional comprehensive emergency first-aid capabilities.
